hydraulic/mechanical profile bending machine
APK Medium
The Akyapak APK Medium Series brings professional-grade profile bending capability to shops that need versatility without the footprint of a heavy-duty machine. Six models range from the compact APK 61 at 5.4 HP to the APK 240 at 40 HP, handling angles, T-sections, flat bar, square bar, rounds, tubes, and channels across a broad capacity range. All models feature a St-52 steel construction body, hardened and ground 42CrMo4 special-steel shafts, hydraulically moveable lower rolls, digital position display, and both horizontal and vertical working orientations. Rolls are driven by a hydraulic motor through a planetary gearbox for smooth, controllable forming. ACM supplies every APK Medium model from Ontario with tooling packages, installation, and dedicated after-sales support.

CNC/NC tube and pipe bending machine
ABM
The Akyapak ABM Series covers the full spectrum of tube and pipe bending — from the all-electric ABM E-25 multi-stack bender to the heavy-duty ABM 76 CNC 3 with three-die servo control. These machines bend mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and similar materials into simple or complex shapes with repeatable accuracy across both high-volume production and single-piece work. CNC models feature servo-controlled bending, feeding, shifting, and turning axes, a 15-inch colour touchscreen with 3D bend preview, YBC programming mode, and automatic tube length calculation. NC models provide a cost-effective semi-automatic option for shops with moderate throughput requirements. The ABM range serves automotive, furniture, HVAC, insulation, and general fabrication applications where bend quality and repeatability are critical. ACM provides the full ABM range from Cambridge, Ontario with die packages, mandrel tooling, installation, and training.

hydraulic dishing press
BMB-P
The Akyapak BMB-P is purpose-built for forming dished heads — the concave end caps used in pressure vessels, storage tanks, boilers, and process equipment. Available in capacities from 150 to 1,600 metric tons with working diameters from 20 inches to 33 feet, the BMB-P uses oversized heat-treated dies and a stress-relieved high-alloy steel frame to deliver consistent dish profiles with minimal springback. Models above 250 metric tons incorporate pre-stressed tie-rods and side shoulders for added rigidity under extreme forming loads. The main control screen is designed around a user-friendly interface that reduces learning time — operators achieve accurate, repeatable results without years of specialised dishing experience. Cylinder bodies, piston groups, and critical hydraulic components are heat-treated and chromium-plated for long service life under continuous production duty. ACM supplies BMB-P dishing presses from Ontario with application engineering, die selection guidance, and full lifecycle support.
- Press capacity range

hydraulic flanging machine
BMB
The Akyapak BMB flanging machine turns flat or pre-dished blanks into finished flanged heads with controlled edge profiles — a critical operation in pressure vessel, tank, and process equipment manufacturing. The electro-welded, stress-relieved frame and proportional hydraulic controls deliver precise, low-vibration flanging across a working diameter range of 20 inches to 33 feet, handling material from 14 gauge to 2 inches cold and up to 4 inches when hot-formed. Both upper and lower head holders are independently driven by hydraulic motors and cylinders, while a radial-piston hydraulic motor powers the knuckle roll for high-speed rotation and consistent torque throughout the flanging pass. The flanging roll itself is driven by three hydraulic cylinders for both vertical and horizontal movement, sliding between the two main bodies for precise edge control. Designed for simplicity, the BMB can be operated effectively by personnel without extensive metal forming experience. ACM provides BMB flanging machines from Cambridge, Ontario with die packages, process guidance, and dedicated service support.
- Working diameter range
- 20"–33' (500 mm–10 m)
- Thickness range (cold)
- 14 ga–2" (1.9–50 mm)
- Thickness range (hot)
- Up to 4" (100 mm)
- Frame construction
- High-alloy steel, electro-welded, stress relieved

multi-roll plate straightening machine
APSM
The Akyapak APSM removes bow, wave, and edge buckle from steel plate and sheet — delivering the flatness that downstream cutting, welding, and fabrication processes demand. Available in 5-roll, 7-roll, and 9-roll configurations with working lengths from 1,000 mm to 3,000 mm, the APSM handles material thicknesses from 3 mm to 60 mm across widths up to 3,000 mm. Nine-roll machines straighten plate in a single pass, while 7-roll models require three to four cycles and 5-roll models five to six — allowing shops to balance throughput against capital cost. Straightening rolls are manufactured from special steel with spherical roller bearings, mounted in a St-52 welded steel frame designed in 3D and tested through advance engineering analysis. Motor power ranges from 3 HP on the smallest model to 150 HP on the largest, with variable-speed bottom roll rotation as standard. ACM supplies the full APSM range from Ontario with installation, operator training, and ongoing service.

FAQ
Forming & Tube Bending Questions
Answers to common questions about our forming & tube bending products.
ACM supplies the full Akyapak forming and bending range: APK Heavy and Medium series angle rolls for bending structural profiles and tube, ABM series CNC tube benders for precision pipe and tube forming, BMB-P hydraulic dishing presses for pressure vessel head forming, BMB flanging machines for finishing dished heads, and APSM plate straightening machines for correcting flatness in sheet and plate.
Angle rolls (APK series) use three driven rolls to curve structural profiles - angles, beams, channels, flat bar, and large-diameter tube - into arcs, rings, and spirals. Tube benders (ABM series) use rotary-draw or mandrel bending to form smaller-diameter pipe and tube around a fixed radius with precise bend angles. Angle rolls handle heavier sections; tube benders deliver tighter tolerances on pipe and tube.
Dishing forms a flat plate blank into a concave dish shape - the end cap of a pressure vessel or tank. Flanging forms the straight edge of that dished blank into a controlled curved flange (the knuckle radius). They are separate operations because each requires different tooling, force application, and control. Many shops pair a BMB-P dishing press with a BMB flanging machine for a complete in-house head forming line.
Yes. The APK Heavy series handles round tube and pipe up to 24" SCH80 (on the APK 1000) in addition to angles, beams, channels, T-sections, flat bar, and square tube. Special rolls for tubes and pipes are available as optional tooling.
Yes. ACM handles complete installation, commissioning, operator training, tooling consultation, and ongoing service for all Akyapak forming and bending equipment from our Cambridge, Ontario facility. We serve fabricators across Ontario and Eastern Canada.
