Parts and service
Hypertherm plasma power supplies sit at the cutting end of a lot of the machines we sell. We supply the industrial side of the Hypertherm line: the X-Definition XPR range, the HyPerformance HPR range, and the LongLife MAXPRO200. These are the systems that mount on a cutting table. We do not sell the handheld Powermax cutters.
The part most shops care about more is what happens after the sale. We stock Hypertherm consumables and spare parts in Cambridge, Ontario, for XPR, HPR and MAXPRO systems alike, and our catalogue covers thousands of item numbers, from electrodes and nozzles through to the parts that fail rarely and stop production when they do. Those are the ones that are hardest to find in Canada, and they are the reason we hold the inventory we do.
Two more lines that are easy to miss, both supplied to order rather than held on the shelf. ProNest is Hypertherm's nesting software, and on most tables it decides how much of every sheet you actually use. Centricut laser consumables fit machines from a range of manufacturers, so we can often supply the consumable even where we did not supply the machine. Ask us for either.

Why us
Why buy Hypertherm from AC Machinery
Consumables and spares in stock
Electrodes, nozzles, shields and swirl rings are the easy part. We hold them for XPR, HPR and MAXPRO systems, along with the parts that rarely fail, because those are the ones nobody else stocks and your machine is down until one arrives.
The industrial line, not the handheld one
X-Definition, High Definition and Conventional: the XPR, HPR and MAXPRO systems that mount on a cutting table. Which one you need depends on your thickness range and the edge quality your parts require, not just on amperage.
Integrated onto real tables
We do not sell the power supply in isolation. We specify it against the table, the controller, and the work it has to do, and we commission the whole thing.
Service behind the sale
Our technicians commission the system, train your operators, and come back when it needs attention. The same team every time.
FAQ
Hypertherm at AC Machinery: common questions
Answers to common questions about our hypertherm products.
We supply Hypertherm's industrial lines. X-Definition is the XPR range: XPR170, XPR300 and XPR460. High Definition is the HyPerformance HPR range, including the HPR400XD and the HPR800XD. Conventional is LongLife, including the MAXPRO200. These are the systems that mount on a cutting table, and we integrate them onto the tables we sell and service.
No. Powermax is Hypertherm's handheld air plasma range, and the systems we supply are the industrial ones that mount on a cutting table. If you need a handheld unit, a Hypertherm distributor covering that range is the right call.
Yes. We hold Hypertherm consumables and spare parts for XPR, HPR and MAXPRO systems in our warehouse in Cambridge, Ontario. You can search item numbers in our online parts catalogue and request a quote from there.
Yes. The HPR130XD and HPR260XD are out of production, and the installed base across Canada is large. We hold consumables and spare parts for them and we service them. Send us the model and serial number.
That is the part of our catalogue we are proudest of. We hold spare parts that rarely fail, precisely because they are hard to source when they do. Send us the item number and we will confirm stock and lead time.
It depends on your thickness range and the cut quality your parts require, not just on amperage. Tell us what you are cutting and how thick, and we will tell you where a smaller system is enough and where it is not.
Yes. ProNest is Hypertherm's CAD/CAM nesting software, and on most tables it has more effect on material cost than anything else you can change. Ask us for a quote or a walkthrough.
Yes. Centricut consumables fit laser machines from a range of manufacturers, so we can often supply the consumable even where we did not supply the machine. Send us the item number or the machine model.
Yes. We service Hypertherm plasma systems whether or not we supplied them, and we can retrofit newer cutting technology onto older tables. Send us the model and serial number.
Search our parts catalogue by item number or description and add what you need to a quote request. If you cannot find the number, send it to us and we will look it up.
