Irving Shipbuilding cuts steel

Irving Shipbuilding cut steel on a test module for the lead Arctic offshore patrol ship (AOPS) on Thursday as shown on CBC News.

The new Irving Shipbuilding facility in Halifax, NS is using two Messer Cutting Systems “MPC2000” large gantry precision plasma bevel cutting machines to process bevel cut parts for their shipbuilding operations. Messer Cutting Systems has been building high production plasma bevel head for over 35 years and is proud to be the selected vendor to the large majority of North American Steel Service Centres. Both Irving machines were supplied and installed by the Messer Canadian technical centre Automated Cutting Machinery Inc.
